Step 2. Make Sure You Have Solidified Your Financial Budget
Once you have decided how much you can spend, make sure you have your finances in place, before attending the auction. Remember there is a $500.00 Deposit required at the time of purchase and the balance must be paid in full by 5:00pm on the Tuesday following the auction.
Step 3. Preview The Vehicles Before Bidding At The Auction
Our auction facility will open for viewing at 8:30am on Saturday's and the auction will begin at 10:00am. We suggest you select 2 or more vehicles that you would be willing to acquire. This is because if you get out-bid on the vehicle of your choice, you have already viewed and settled on a second choice. You will be able to start each vehicle and try all mechanical options such as air conditioning, power windows etc., however, our insurance policy prevents you from driving them in the yard. Look carefully at each vehicle as they are sold "as is, where is". Be sure to thoroughly inspect the vehicle. You are welcome to bring a mechanic or anyone who's opinion you trust when buying a vehicle.
Step 4. Register At The Office And Enjoy The Friendly Service
Before entering the auction facility, register in the office and receive your bidder's number. You will need to fill out a simple registration card and our staff will issue you a bidders number. There is no charge or obligation to register, but you must have a bid number in order to bid or participate in the auction. Now you are off to the yard to fall in love with your next automobile.
Step 5. Bid And Buy
Our auctions are held indoors and each vehicle will be driven through the auction building, stopping at the auction block for the bidding process. Listen carefully to the auctioneer. He will announce the year, make, model, equipment, and any other information he may know about the vehicle. When the auctioneer starts the bidding process, raise your bidder's card in the air to signal your bid. Other interested parties may also bid on the vehicle. Continue to bid on the vehicle until the price has gone beyond your budget or YOU'VE BOUGHT THE VEHICLE!!
Step 6. Make Your Deposit
Once the auctioneer says SOLD and you have bought the vehicle, a friendly auction representative will escort you to the cashier's office where you will be required to place a $500.00 non-refundable deposit on your vehicle. You are welcome to pay the entire balance at that time as well. After this process, you are free to leave or return to enjoy the rest of the auction.
Step 7. Pay The Balance And Drive Away
You will have until the Tuesday following the auction to pay the balance owing. When you have done this, we can issue a trip permit for your vehicle (with proof of insurance) and you can drive your vehicle to the mechanic of your choice to have your vehicle certified. We will change the registration to your name. This can sometimes take up to 7 days but usually it is faster. Jump in and you are off in your new vehicle. Wow, that was easy.
